Development Plan Representations

Development plans are the backbone of the planning system. Once a site is allocated in the plan there is a commitment to the principle of its development. It is in clients' interest to have their land included in the plan in advance of any specific planning application.

We put forward allocation proposals to planning officers, take part in consultation exercises, make formal proposals and represent clients at development plan hearings.
This is normally a long term activity extending over several years. Costs are less than this might imply because they are spread over a long period and are only incurred when action is required.

We also act for individuals and organisations who are opposed to particular aspects of emerging plans.
